iOS 17 is a major upgrade for iPhones that includes many new features and capabilities, such as NameDrop, StandBy mode, interactive widgets, a revamped phone app, and much more.

The public beta of iOS 17 is now available for 20 distinct iPhone models. However, depending on the mode and hardware limitations, certain iPhones may not receive all of the features of iOS 17.

How can I get the iOS 17 public beta?

If you have an iPhone running the most recent version of iOS 16, use this method to install the iOS 17 public beta on your device.

Go to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates > and select public beta. Make sure you’ve signed up for the Apple Beta Software program’s public beta updates and that you’re using the same Apple ID on your iPhone to download and install the first public beta of iOS 17.
