Zareen Khan, on the other hand, did not seek bail or appear in court. The court issued an arrest warrant after her repeated absences.
When asked about the arrest warrant, Zareen Khan stated she didn’t know. “I’m certain this isn’t true. I, too, am astonished and am consulting with my attorney. Only then will I be able to provide you with some clarification. In the interim, you can contact my public relations,” she replied.
Zareen Khan was supposed to play at a Durga Puja ceremony in Kolkata in 2018. Despite the fact that the organizers waited for her, she did not arrive.
According to authorities, one of the event organizers submitted a written cheating charge against the Bollywood actress and her manager. An FIR was filed against both of them, and they were summoned for questioning.
Zareen Khan did appear for questioning at the time, claiming that the organizers had misled her. She also said that the organizers told her that heavyweight ministries, including Bengal’s chief minister, would attend the event.
Her team eventually discovered that it was a small-scale occurrence in north Kolkata. She also stated that there was a misunderstanding regarding airplane tickets and other accommodations, forcing her to miss the concert.
According to police sources, Zareen Khan also filed a case against the show’s organizers in a local court. Following the investigation, she and her manager were charged. While her manager went in court and requested bail, the actor did not request bail or appear in court.
