Elon Musk fight Mark Zuckerberg:Elon Musk referred to Mark Zuckerberg as a “chicken” after the latter stated that Tesla CEO Elon Musk “isn’t serious” about conducting a cage fight and that “it’s time to move on.”.
In a new twist in the drama of the ‘will-they-won’t-they’ cage fight, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has claimed that he has moved on from the concept of the much-hyped spar with Elon Musk, adding that the Tesla CEO does not appear to be taking it seriously.
The two billionaire tech rivals appeared to have agreed to a fight in June when Musk announced his eagerness to take part. In response to Musk’s post, Zuckerberg requested the location.
However, in a subsequent Threads post, Zuckerberg stated, “I believe we can all agree that Elon isn’t actually serious about this, and it’s time to let it go.” “I proposed a real date, and Dana White (the UFC president) even offered to turn it into a legitimate charity event.”
According to Zuckerberg, Musk’s answer has been inconsistent. “Elon refuses to confirm a date, initially mentions surgery, and now suggests practicing in my backyard instead.” Elon knows how to contact me if he decides to actually commit to a proper date and an official event. Otherwise, it’s best to proceed. I’ll concentrate on competing against individuals who are actually committed to the sport.”
Musk took to X (previously Twitter) after Zuckerberg’s call-out to launch some virtual barbs at the Facebook CEO.
“Zuck is a chicken,” Musk wrote on Twitter.
Musk had previously mentioned that the fight could take place in an iconic Italian locale. He chatted with the Italian prime minister, Giorgia Meloni, about streaming choices and an ancient backdrop for the occasion.
Tensions between the companies of the two internet titans have risen since Zuckerberg’s Meta released Threads, a text-based chat tool, in July. Twitter responded by sending Zuckerberg a cease-and-desist letter, stating that Meta had unfairly utilized Twitter’s trade secrets and other intellectual property.
Zuckerberg, who has a background in MMA, revealed his participation in his first jiu-jitsu event earlier this year. Meanwhile, Musk discussed his fight preparation, which includes lifting weights at work owing to time constraints. On X, he stated, “I don’t have time to hit the gym, so I bring the gym to work.”
