Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 specifications have leaked ahead of the debut.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 could be powered by 13th generation Intel Core i7 processors and Nvidia RTX GeForce 4000 series GPUs.

Microsoft is likely to unveil new Surface devices at its forthcoming presentation in New York on September 21. According to rumors, Microsoft will launch the Surface Laptop Studio 2 alongside the Surface Laptop Go 3 and Surface Go 4.

However, only days before the launch, a report by the German blog WinFuture reveals information on the hardware offered by the Surface Laptop Studio 2. The forthcoming device, like its predecessor, will have a 14.4-inch screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 2400 x 1600.

It goes on to add that Microsoft Surface Laptop 2 purchasers will be able to select between the Core i7-13700H and the Core i7-13800H processors. To refresh your memory, each processors have 14 cores and 20 threads. In terms of graphics, power users can choose between the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 and RTX 4060.

Those who do not require GPU power can choose for the Surface Laptop Studio 2’s base edition, which will be powered by Intel’s integrated Iris Xe GPU.

According to the rumor, Microsoft may also increase the maximum memory to 64GB, which is double what the Surface Laptop Studio offers. Other major modifications include microSD card capability and a USB Type-A connector.

The Surface Laptop Studio 2 is said to have a 58Wh battery that may last up to 19 hours on a single charge. Microsoft appears to be introducing some color options, but the overall style stays the same.

The device is slated to go on sale on October 3 for 2,249 euros (about Rs 2 lakh) for the base model.
