The latest cheap 5G phone from the Chinese tech giant starts at 11,999 INR for the 4GB + 128GB storage option. The 6GB + 128GB variant, on the other hand, costs 13,499 INR, and the 8GB + 256GB variant costs 15,499 INR. The firm is also offering a 1,000 INR immediate discount with ICICI Credit and Debit cards. Starting today (4th August 2023), the Redmi 12 5G will be available in India through the company’s official website, Amazon, and Xiaomi retail shops.

The new low-cost gadget features a big 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a peak brightness of 550 nits. It is powered by a big 5,000mAh battery pack that supports up to 18W rapid charging and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. The Redmi 12 5G has a 50-megapixel dual camera configuration on the back, and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.
Out of the box, the device runs the Android 13 OS with the MIUI 14 custom skin. Other significant features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, a USB Type-C port, an IR blaster, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and an IP53 splash resistant rating.
