Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana had cast Ranbir Kapoor as Ram and Alia Bhatt as Sita, however she backed out owing to scheduling conflicts.
Alia Bhatt is said to have left Nitesh Tiwari’s rendition of the Hindu epic Ramayana. According to Pinkvilla, Alia was unable to participate in the production because of scheduling conflicts. She was in negotiations to play Sita in the film, which also stars her real-life spouse Ranbir Kapoor as Ram and Kannada actor Yash.
Alia’s date problems
According to the report, the film’s production has also been delayed. According to Pinkvilla, the production team is double-checking all of the details. “In terms of casting, Ranbir Kapoor is still committed to playing Lord Ram, while Alia Bhatt, who was approached for the project, is no longer involved.” “The actress was in talks for the role of Goddess Sita, but the collaboration fell through due to scheduling conflicts,” said an insider.
They further stated that Yash is still involved with the project. Earlier, it was reported that Yash had walked out on the film.
I’m not going to insult anyone.
Nitesh was queried about his film’s cast in July, and he neither confirmed nor denied casting Ranbir, Alia, and Yash. He only stated that the announcement will be made’very shortly.’ He also mentioned the danger of ‘offending’ individuals with the film. “My question is very simple,” he told Zoom Entertainment. I am also a consumer of the stuff that I make, and if I don’t offend myself, I am convinced that I won’t offend anyone else.” He was saying in light of the uproar caused by Om Raut’s latest Ramayana adaption, Adipurush.
Kangana’s not for it
Kangana Ranaut had already commented on Ranbir and Yash’s casting in the film. “Recently I am hearing news about another upcoming Bolly Ramayana… Where a skinny white rat (so-called actor) who desperately needs some sun tan and conscience he is infamous for doing nasty underhand PR about almost everyone in the industry… known for womanising and drug addiction after desperately trying to prove himself Lord Shiva in a trilogy (which no one watched or want to make more parts of) has now grown fancy to be Lord Rama…” Kangana wrote on Instagram.
“Whereas a young southern superstar who is known to be self-made, a devoted family man, a traditionalist, and according to Valmiki ji’s description, he looks more like Lord Rama in his complexion, demeanor, and facial features… is offered to play Ravana,” she continued. This is what sort of Kalyuga is it? “There should be no pale-looking druggie soy boy playing Lord Rama…. Jai Shri Ram (folded hands emoji).” Kangana will appear in her own Ramayana film, Sita: The Incarnation.
