This year, Meta has made numerous major improvements to WhatsApp. However, let us concentrate on the best of the best, rather than the usual upgrades that make their way to WhatsApp Beta. Chat lock, Edit button, HD images, screen sharing, and other features are now available to everyone, making this app much more helpful in a variety of ways. Here are the seven important improvements that WhatsApp will introduce in 2023.
In 2023, WhatsApp announced seven important innovations to improve user experience.
Chat Lock
WhatsApp recently added the ability to lock your really private messages. To enable it, simply go to a chat’s profile section and tap on the Chat Lock feature. You must repeat this process for each locked chat, and all locked chats are added to a folder at the top of the screen.
HD Photo qualities
WhatsApp just added the ability to transmit high-resolution photos to contacts. When you try to send a large-quality file through WhatsApp, the HD quality option appears. Keep in mind that WhatsApp does not transfer photographs in their native resolution and conducts some image compression. This may be disheartening for users, but you can now send higher-quality photographs to individuals and groups.
Hide online presence
WhatsApp users can also hide their internet presence on the service. Simply put, no one will know whether you are using the messaging app because activating this option will remove the “online” tag from your account.
Silence unknown calls
Anyone with your phone number can contact you over WhatsApp. However, by altering your privacy settings, you can block a known phone number or choose to silence calls from unknown callers. Silencing calls from unknown callers allows you to concentrate on important talks while protecting your privacy and avoiding unwanted contact.
WhatsApp on multiple phones
WhatsApp finally allowed us to utilize the same WhatsApp account on numerous devices. So, the feature functions in the same way as WhatsApp Web does. All you have to do is pretend you want to use WhatsApp on a different phone. Simply download WhatsApp on the new device, then while it’s asking you to input your phone number, hit the three dots in the top-right corner and select Link to existing account. After that, scan the QR code with your primary phone, and you may now use the same WhatsApp account on both devices. And you can do that on four separate devices at the same time, which is very cool and convenient.
Edit messages
You can now edit sent WhatsApp messages to correct any errors or to change your message. To do so, tap and hold the message you want to change. Select ‘Edit’ from the three-dot menu in the top-right corner. Change the text and click the ‘tick’ button to save the changes. You can only edit texts for the first 15 minutes, and there will be an edited tag beneath the edited message.
Screen sharing
The installation of a new function to WhatsApp has been announced. During video conversations, users can now share their phone’s screen. WhatsApp’s latest version makes it easier for users to collaborate on papers, showcase presentations, and more. Furthermore, one will now be able to provide tech support to family and friends with ease. If your parents, for example, need to update something in their phone’s settings, you can assist them by using WhatsApp’s video call screen-sharing feature.
