Do you have many phone numbers or prefer to keep your business and personal conversations separate? WhatsApp is now able to accommodate multiple accounts.
WhatsApp may eventually allow you to switch between two accounts automatically, eliminating the need to install several instances of the program on your phone. A new beta channel update, version 2.23.17.8, has added a multi-account feature, allowing users to add and switch between numerous WhatsApp accounts on the same app.
According to WABetaInfo, the multi-account feature was previously in development but is now available to some beta testers who install the current update. In the app’s settings, users can add a new account by hitting the arrow icon next to the QR code button. From the same menu, they can easily switch to a different account. Each account has its own set of chats, notifications, and preferences and is retained on the device until the user logs out.
This function is handy for folks who have many phone numbers and want to divide their personal and business talks. It also makes utilizing numerous accounts on the same device easier because users do not need to use distinct devices or parallel apps to access their accounts. Users can maintain and switch between their accounts using a single app on their primary device.
The multi-account capability is now accessible to some beta testers and will be expanded in the coming weeks. Users interested in testing it out can sign up for the Google Play Beta Program and download the most recent WhatsApp beta for Android version. As of now, there is no word on when the feature will be available for iOS.
